What a wonderful experience I had. I came here Solo for a few days away from the real world. So glad I did. The atmosphere here is just amazing. The staff is so warm and attentive and the food is out of this world. Local charm and true Belizian hospitality. Thank you Copal Tree Lodge

Now on our last night of a five-night stay. We’ve had a great time. The setting is amazing - the lodge is perched in the trees above a working farm that supplies much of the food for the resort, as well as sugar cane for the on-site distillery and cacao for on-site chocolate making. We made good use of the staircase and funicular rail car going up and down to the river. All staff have been friendly and very helpful. We took advantage of several tour offerings - a guided kayak on the river, a guided jungle hike, intro to birdwatching, and snorkeling. Guides Matthew and Andres were exceptional and generously shared their knowledge and experience of Mayan culture, birds, and plants. Our cabin is comfortable and clean. Love the screened-in deck with hammock. Food and drinks have been very enjoyable.

My Husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Copal Tree Resort! Our room blew my mind away. We had wonderful sunsets from our private deck. Enjoyed watching the hummingbirds!! Woke up to the Howler Monkeys. The staff so friendly and professional. Rev so passionate about the Rum and Rum making process! So fortunate to have Martin as our guide on multiple excursions. We will return and pass it on to our friends and family!

This lodge is just AMAZING! From the accommodations, to the landscapes, the food and especially the people. They do everything possible so you’ll have a perfect experience. I knew I was coming to a beautiful place but I had no idea how special it would be. There’s even a sense of friendship among all the guests as you see them often at meals, bar and outings. I plan to come back often!!!

The Copal Tree Lodge is the perfect crossroads of luxury, adventure, health and sustainability. It’s not just a resort; it’s an organic jungle farm that treats its guests like royalty while giving access to stunningly beautiful rainforest views, wildlife, and excursions. The true magic of the lodge are the people though. We took a coffee cupping tour and went kayaking early in the morning with Andres. His deep knowledge and appreciation for the beautiful ecosystem the farm is situated on was impressive and inspiring. Absolutely serene moments and seeing the beautiful wildlife on the river were a major highlight of the trip. Thank you so much Andres! All of our tours of the farm were just so cool. We learned about their entire coffee, rum, and chocolate making process from seeds to sipping. It was so wonderful walking through the farm and learning about each plants history and life cycle before actually trying our hands at making coffee and our own chocolate bars. Our guides like Martin, Marcelo, Jamal, and Andres were so knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about their sustainable, organic practices that produce the highest quality ingredients. That beautiful little farm is the source of one of our other major highlights: the food! Nearly every meal was the best meal of my life. Farm-to-table doesn’t do it justice, everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Melanie and Emelda were so kind and gracious, Ducky and Chee kept the amazing drinks flowing, and we had the time of our lives. The mixology class was a last, and Copalli is the only rum I’ll buy from now on! Overall, our stay here was unforgettable. If you want to experience true rainforest with the absolute best service and highest comfort, AND have nothing but healthy and mind blowing delicious food, Copali Tree Lodge is the place to be. We will be back as soon as possible!!

All the staff here are amazing!! They all made our stay so comfortable and got everything we needed. We would definitely be back again & would recommend anyone to stay! The views here are incredible and monkey sightings are the best part. Pack mosquito repellent!!
